Starting from the workaroud of kubev i found another one that seems to be stable: Could anyone help me with how to PERMANENTLY fix this issue? Problem is, Windows Update seems to insist on redownloading this driver update, regardless of which settings I use to block driver updates via Windows Update. You should see that 'Intel(R) Display Audio' and 'Realtek(R) Audio' both show up as devices in the 'Sound, video and game controllers' category as they should. In Device Manager, click the 'Scan for hardware changes' button (or right-click on any device and choose that option).

In Device Manager, go to the View menu and switch back to 'Devices by type' to change how devices are displayed again. In the Uninstall Device dialog box that appears, check the 'Delete the driver software for this device.' checkbox and click Uninstall.Right-click on 'Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller' (NOT 'Intel High Definition DSP') and choose 'Uninstall device' from the menu.Scroll down in Device Manager and locate the device called 'Intel High Definition DSP' (which should still be highlighted) to see that it's now listed underneath an item called 'Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller' (if the item is expanded).
